The media could not be loaded. The photo of the wax by my hot glue gun shows the length of the sticks, this is why the video isn't great at showing the 'deployment' of the melted wax - I didn't have a glue stick to follow in after the wax one (as I couldn't find them) to push out the wax. I also couldn't find my wax stamps (there's a theme here ... ) so I stuck my mini nail varnish bottle on it - 2.2cm diameter as you can see it reproduced the detail on the bottom of the bottle. The one stick made three wax seals with the bottle 'stamp' each roughly 3cm diameter. I then remembered where my glue sticks were and pushed the residual wax through the glue gun. The little 'tadpoles' (that's my description and I am sticking to it) show that there is still a little wax left after nearly a whole glue stick, so I would recommend having a separate hot gun for wax and glue - unless the cross contamination isn't an issue. The wax sticks are bendy and so the seal is also bendy rather than traditional wax that is brittle and fractures. The wax sticks are a lovely colour and I will be getting a hot wax gun so that I can melt the wax for seals without the need for a change over in melting device.

The media could not be loaded. Even though the wax sticks were too narrow for my particular glue gun I still managed to push then in and melt the wax. I wasn't sure how long to leave the wax to cool before imprinting something in so I tested if a few times. I waited 15 seconds minimum depending on how much wax I used , then pushed in the object or stamp I wanted to print. It set hard and looked marbley, bluey, silver-grey, I used glue after and my gun was clean again. It worked really well with some experimenting and I'll be sure to use these again. You get alot in the pack but as they are narrow they don't make alot compared to what the glue sticks make. Reasonably priced in my opinion.

Price at time of order / review: £8.58. Oh my gosh, I am in love! Where have these been all my life? I've been using the 'candle' type sealing wax all these years and it's such a pain. I bought a new mini glue gun just to use with these wax sticks (wasn't sure if it'd be good to mix glue and wax). What an easy way to get the wax right where you want it with just the amount of wax you want and the wax is still hot enough when you're done placing it that you don't have hard wax you're trying to press the seal in to. I couldn't be happier. I just need to buy all the colors now.

I chose black wax sticks as I want to decorate gothic images. You get 26 small sticks in a card box. I like that better than just in a plastic bag. I prefer to use a melting spoon than a glue gun as I feel it gives me more control and I don’t get a surprise when using the gun when I’ve forgotten what’s in it. Also a spoon is good for remelting those impressions that didn’t work well enough. These sticks are easy to cut down and don’t take long to melt. There were no air bubbles as the wax melted and it poured well. They took the impression as well as other waxes and cooled quickly. They took the gold pen well too. At £8.58 they are comparable with other sealing wax sticks. I’ll happily try other colours in this brand.

I got most beautiful champagne gold colour. Sticks goes easily in to glue gun and melts very well. It take few minutes to dry so it's more than enough time to spread it how you want it. Seals very well and strong. Great value for money as hou get box of 26 sticks.
