just got an Anker Make M5c , while the plate itself has a good adhesion resistance it leaves a texture to your creation's base ,this helps while allowing your creation to still have a solid connection to the baseplate the only downside is the hotplate looks worn in very quickly , but that's only a superficial thing . You can either flip the plate to the un-used side or buy a spare to keep the aesthetic look

It's more or less the same stuff in glue sticks that you use for sticking paper together and works fine for that as well. It does seem to work, but better suited for very smooth print beds and not the ones that have a removable sheet on the bed instead. It does create some sort of friction that the filament can attach to for the initial level. The price for the quantity is a lot though considering the sticks are only 21g each.

This appears to be the same stuff as the old-style Pritt Stick. It even smells the same. A check of the ingredient shows that it is PVP, which is PolyVinylPyrrolidone. The bullet list says that it is 'safe, clear & washable'. I won't be using this for 3D printing. However, for sticking paper sheets together I can confirm it works very well. When pulling the paper apart about 30 minutes after the gluing, the paper ripped - not the glue. The children go through lots of tubes of this, in their construction projects. 4 tubes will last a while, but note that it is 21g in the stick, which is the medium size of Pritt Stick. It's a good working product. The price is probably on the high side, compared to the high-street.
